We design and perform calculations of reinforced concrete structures of buildings and structures, ensuring the strength, rigidity and durability of the structural design, taking into account loads, operating conditions and regulatory requirements.
We carry out the design of reinforced concrete structures of buildings, including the calculation of slabs, beams, columns, foundations and load-bearing walls. We develop the design and calculation of reinforced concrete structures taking into account architectural solutions, engineering loads and construction technology. Well-designed reinforced concrete structures form a reliable frame of the building, ensuring its stability, safety and long service life.
What does a construction company risk if there are errors in the calculation of reinforced concrete structures?
The reinforced concrete frame is the backbone of any building. An error in the calculation of load-bearing structures does not immediately appear in estimates - it is revealed in cracks, deformations and expert comments that stop the entire construction. AYU-Project develops the KZh section as part of the design and working documentation, from the initial structural concept through resolution of the final expert-review comment. We design and perform calculations of reinforced concrete structures of buildings and structures, ensuring the strength, rigidity and durability of the structural design, taking into account loads, operating conditions and regulatory requirements.
What is the KZh section, and why does your construction company need it?
The KZh section (reinforced concrete structures) is a mandatory part of the design documentation, which records all calculation and design solutions for the load-bearing and enclosing reinforced concrete elements of the building. Its composition and content requirements are determined by Government Decree of the Russian Federation No. 87 dated 16.02.2008 No. 87 (as amended on 21.10.2025) “On the composition of sections of design documentation and requirements for their content”: this is an explanatory note, calculation justifications, structural drawings, reinforcement diagrams and material specifications. Without a well-designed QOL section, the design documentation will not pass the state expert review, a construction permit will not be issued - and the entire investment cycle of the facility will be paused.
What are the dangers of errors in the calculation of reinforced concrete structures?
Errors in the design of reinforced concrete structures are not just comments from experts; it is a chain of consequences, each of which is more expensive than the previous one. Incorrectly defined loads, underestimated reinforcement or an incorrect scheme for transferring forces to the foundation entail reworking not only the KZh section itself, but also adjacent sections - architectural solutions, foundations, roofing. Errors identified during construction or operation lead to costly reinforcement of structures, delays in project delivery, and legal risks for the designer and contractor. That is why, for the construction business, choosing a subcontractor for the development of the QOL section is a matter of risk management, and not just selecting a contractor.
Composition of section RC: what we design
The full development cycle of the QOL section in the AYU-Project covers all key reinforced concrete elements of the structural design of a building or structure:
- Monolithic floor and coating slabs - calculation for the first (strength) and second (stiffness, crack resistance) groups of limit states in accordance with SP 63.13330.2018;
- Crossbars, beams, purlins - determination of cross sections, selection of working and structural reinforcement taking into account real loads and spans;
- Columns and racks - calculation for eccentric compression, checking stability under design and special combinations of loads;
- Load-bearing walls and stiffening diaphragms - design of vertical and horizontal load-bearing elements to ensure spatial rigidity of the frame;
- Foundations - monolithic slab, strip and pile-grillage; the type and parameters are selected based on the results of engineering and geological surveys;
- Prefabricated and prefabricated monolithic structures - detailing of joints, statements and specifications of prefabricated elements in accordance with SP 311.1325800.2017 and SP 337.1325800.2017;
- Calculation justifications - drawn up in a separate volume with models, calculation schemes and results of numerical analysis for submission for examination.
At stage WD, detailed reinforcement diagrams for each element, joints and details, layout diagrams of embedded parts, and reinforcement and concrete consumption sheets are produced.
How the design of RC occurs: stages of work
Work on the QOL section is built in a clear sequence - each stage is based on the results of the previous one and undergoes internal testing before being transferred to the client.
Stage 1 - Collection and analysis of initial data. We study the technical specifications, architectural solutions, geotechnical survey data, regulatory loads and the requirements of the technological specifications.
Stage 2 - Development of a structural scheme. We determine the type of structural system (monolithic frame, prefabricated, prefabricated-monolithic, frameless), load transfer scheme and placement of load-bearing elements.
Stage 3 - Calculation justification. We carry out spatial calculations of the structural diagram in a certified software package, select cross-sections of elements and reinforcement schemes.
Stage 4 - Development of design documentation and working documentation. We produce a complete set of RC stage DD (for examination) and WD (for work): drawings, reinforcement diagrams, specifications, components and parts.
Stage 5 - Expert-review support. We provide written responses to experts’ comments, make adjustments to the documentation and achieve a positive expert review opinion - without additional payment under the current contract.
What standards are used to design reinforced concrete structures?
Working according to outdated or irrelevant standards is one of the most common reasons for expert comments under section RC. AYU-Project carries out design strictly in accordance with the current editions of mandatory and recommended regulatory documents:
- SP 63.13330.2018 “Concrete and reinforced concrete structures. Basic provisions" - a basic set of rules covering the calculation and design of monolithic and prefabricated reinforced concrete structures;
- SP 311.1325800.2017 - for structures made of high-strength concrete of classes B60 and higher;
- SP 337.1325800.2017 - for prefabricated monolithic structures;
- SP 356.1325800.2017 - for frame reinforced concrete structural systems;
- GOST 27751 - methodology for assessing the reliability of building structures;
- Government Decree of the Russian Federation No. 87 dated 16.02.2008 No. 87 (as amended on 21.10.2025) “On the composition of sections of project documentation and requirements for their content” - regarding the structure and design of DD.
Monitoring current revisions of regulatory documents is part of the internal quality system AYU-Project, and not a one-time task before the delivery of each project.
Why do construction companies choose AYU-Project to design the RC section?
Choosing a subcontractor to develop RC for a construction business is, first of all, a matter of reliability: reliability of calculations, deadlines and the final result. AYU-Project provides exactly this:
- Accurate calculation of structures - we use certified calculation systems and multi-level internal testing, which eliminates errors in reinforcement and selection of sections;
- Optimization of materials and cost - design solutions are developed taking into account the actual consumption of concrete and reinforcement, which reduces direct construction costs without compromising on reliability;
- Guaranteed passing of the examination - project documentation is drawn up strictly in accordance with regulatory requirements, and comments are eliminated free of charge within the framework of the contract;
- Fixed deadlines - deadlines are fixed by contract and controlled by the internal project management system; 17+ years on the market means 17 years without failure to meet agreed deadlines;
- External design department format - we work as a subcontractor, integrate into your processes and regulations, adapt documentation formats to your customer’s requirements;
- Confirmed qualifications - membership in SRO, specialists in the NOPRIZ registry, completed projects for Russian Railways, PJSC Rosseti Siberia, FGC, NTEK and other large customers.
How much does it cost and in what time frame is the RC section developed?
The cost of designing reinforced concrete structures is determined individually for each object and depends on its purpose, area, number of storeys, structural design and required documentation. For administrative and industrial buildings of average complexity, the estimated development time for the RC section of the DD stage ranges from 2 to 12 weeks; stage WD - from 2 to 10 weeks. An accurate calculation of cost and timing is provided according to the technical specifications or the available set of initial data.
