The AYU-Project company completed one of the largest projects in the field of fire safety of sports infrastructure in the south of Russia - a set of documentation for the Snezhinka sports reserve training center in Sochi. The work covered fire alarm, warning and automatic fire extinguishing systems for 13 buildings with a total area of more than 126 000 m², which required the company's engineers to take into account the mountainous terrain of the site and increased safety requirements for facilities with large numbers of people.
Client
Project documentation was developed by order of LLC "InvestSportStroy" for the sports reserve training center for skiing "Snezhinka" - a facility included in the Olympic and post-Olympic infrastructure of Sochi and intended for year-round training of athletes of national teams.
Facility
The complex is located in the Krasnodar region, in the Adler district of Sochi, in the village of Esto-Sadok, on the northern slope of the Aibga ridge - an area with complex mountainous terrain and a specific microclimate of the highlands. The center includes 13 buildings and structures for various purposes with a total area of 126 845,18 m², including training buildings, administrative and auxiliary buildings.
Scope of design work
AYU-Project specialists have developed design documentation for three interrelated sections of fire protection: a fire alarm system (SPS), a warning and evacuation control system of 2-4 types (SOUE) - taking into account different classes of functional fire hazard of buildings, and an automatic fire extinguishing installation (AFE) using gas, powder and aerosol extinguishing methods, depending on the purpose of the premises. This differentiated approach made it possible to provide a standard level of protection for each building without redundant technical solutions and at the same time combine all systems into a single coordinated project, which simplified the examination and subsequent installation of equipment.
