“AYU-Project” prepared design estimates for the construction of fiber-optic communication lines at enterprises in the Norilsk industrial region, one of the largest industrial clusters in the Arctic. The project covered linear and station facilities FOCL with a total length of more than 300 km in 30 sections, which required the design team to have high precision calculations in extreme climate conditions.
Client
The project was carried out by order of Norilsk Nickel, the world's largest producer of palladium and nickel, operating an extensive network of industrial facilities in the Norilsk industrial region.
Facility
The design objects were linear and station facilities of a fiber-optic communication line distributed between enterprises of the Norilsk industrial region. The project covers 30 sections with a total length of more than 300 km, with a significant part of the routes running in permafrost conditions and a sharply continental Arctic climate.
Scope of design work
AYU-Project specialists have developed design and cost-estimate documentation for a fibre-optic communications network, including routing cable lines, calculating signal attenuation over long sections, selecting station equipment for communication centers and generating construction estimates. This integrated approach allows the customer to obtain a single core communication network suitable for further scaling of automation and monitoring systems at enterprises in the region.
